Web color palette

The following Web color palette has been created to help university developers design websites using the same color families as the Virginia Tech website. Web developers with questions about the use of color on their websites should contact Web Communications.

Color usage and key

On the Web, as in print, the traditional university maroon should be used as a prominent design element enhanced by accents of the traditional university orange and the expanded palette of complimentary, or secondary, colors listed on this page.

All Web colors are given in hexadecimal (#ffffff), and RGB (255,255,255) values. Designers looking for spot colors or CMYK colors for printed publications should refer to the university's Virginia Tech Identity Standards and Style Guide.
