Video: Figuring out how snakes fly

Without wings, or any appendages at all, flying snakes are able to glide through the air under control. Jake Socha, an assistant professor in the Department of Engineering, investigates the peculiar adaptations that allow the snakes to change their body shape from a cylinder to a shape capable of flight.
