Video: VT Helping PAWS provides stress relief for students

VT Helping PAWS (Pet Assisted Wellness Service) recently visited Newman Library to provide some stress relief to students during exams. The group makes monthly visits to the library.

VT Helping PAWS is a therapy animal program at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (VMRCVM) developed to provide animal-assisted therapy for local facilities.

The group provides an opportunity for VMRCVM students and their pets to bring companionship and therapy to local facilities that benefit from human-animal interactions, such as nursing homes, assisted living centers, libraries, and schools.
